Facilitated Events
Most of my work in this area relates to facilitating team events. These have included senior management teams, departmental teams and project teams. Essentially the work I do helps teams maximise performance.
Facilitated workshops are a very productive way of maximising team performance. A good facilitator will manage time effectively and keep people focused on the outputs, use tools which enable everybody to contribute, provoke and challenge thinking in a non-confrontational way and deal effectively with conflict between people.
The success of facilitated workshops is dependent on clarity of purpose, good design and flexible facilitation. A flexible facilitator will tweak the programme, on the day, to address any changing priorities and accommodate issues raised.
As an experienced and skilled facilitator I use a range of approaches, tools and techniques to meet the needs of teams to ensure their issues are addressed, objectives are achieved and outputs delivered. When appropriate I use a creative and innovative approach to the design to ensure workshops are unique and enjoyable yet focused on the purpose.
I have facilitated workshops that have helped teams: develop strategic plans, solve problems, create project plans, work more effectively as a team, review and evaluate their own performance and develop action plans to improve, celebrate team achievements and generate ideas using creative thinking.
As a qualified Strength Deployment Inventory® facilitator I have used the SDI® to help teams gain a knowledge of Relationship Awareness Theory® and be able to recognise and manage conflict more effectively. For more information please click on the link.
